Holiday In Japan For The First Time! (1.6.2015-7.6.2015) Part 1

Holiday In Japan (Part 1)

DAY 1 (1.6.2015)

It was the mid-term break holidays. My family and I went to Tokyo, Japan for a holiday. This whole trip was 7 days and 6 nights. We went to Hong Kong for a night before heading to Tokyo,  the same thing when we are coming back too.

We left KL for Hong Kong on Monday morning, which is 1st of June. The flight was scheduled to depart at 8.55AM. We drove our cars and parked in the KLIA long-season covered car park. The airport was very busy as it was school holiday. It started boarding when we arrived at the boarding gate at 8.15AM. I relaxed on board with some in-flight entertainment such as some movies, musics, game etc. Before I realised , the captain was already making announcement about descending into Hong Kong International Airport.

We went back to out relative's house at about 1PM. We rest while having our lunch in the apartment. We went to Sham Tseng to have the famous Roast Goose for dinner.

The food was indeed tasty. After the meal, we walked along the street to digest before taking a mini bus to Maritime Square to do some shopping. We went back to home early at about 9AM because the flight next day to Tokyo was at 8.45AM.

Day 2 (2.6.2015)

We woke up early and prepared ourself before heading to the airport. We took a taxi to the airport at 7AM. We checked-in our luggage and we move straight to the custom and immigration before arriving at the depature hall. We boarded the plane and took off at 8.50AM.

We arrived at Haneda Airport around 2PM. The first word I can describe Japan was clean. After passing through the immigration, we went straight to the baggage reclaim to claim our luggage. Soon, we went to the information counter to ask about the fares to our hotel.

We decided to took a cab to our hotel, which is Prince Park Tower, Tokyo , about a 20 minutes drive from Haneda Airport.
We checked into the hotel at 3PM. We took a hotel shuttle bus to Hamamatsucho Station, about a 5 minutes bus ride from our hotel. From there, we walked to the streets to have our first Japanese Meal, which I don't really know its name. Honestly, we have communication difficulties when communicating with some of the Japanese people.

According to the Japanese Waiter, this dishes is called "sukaemae"  in Japanese, which I don't have any idea what it's called in English.
He teached us how to eat this "sukaemae". It pretty easy though,  just dip the noodles in the thick soup and it's ready to be eaten.  Besides that, we also ordered  2 bottles of Suntory Beer.

After the mouth-watering meal, we walked along the streets to Ginza, about 4 KM from the restaurant. As it was late, we walked until the initial part of Ginza, which is a food street.  Before heading back to the hotel, my father brought us some supper from a nearby shop.

Day 3 (3.6.2015)

It was our first full day in Japan. I can say its the worst day ever in this whole trip as it was raining. Early in the morning, we went to the 33rd floor of the hotel, which is the tallest floor to have our breakfast buffet. The food was decent, not to say it's really good as the types of food on the buffet spread was little.

Soon after finishing our breakfast, we went to the hotel's information counter to ask about direction to the nearest Uniqlo outlet. The receptionist replied: "Shinagawa". We walked towards Ginza but later part we decided to go to Shinagawa as the receptionist told us that there is a Uniqlo outlet there. Although it was raining, we decided to go to Shinagawa by WALKING! Shinagawa is about 10 KM from Ginza. On the way to Shinagawa, we visited a temple.

We took more than 2 hours to reach Shinagawa as it was raining. By the time we reached there, our leg are all numb. To our suprise, there was no such thing as Uniqlo in Shinagawa when we asked the Japanese people. "Oh My Goodness", said to myself. The hotel receptionist gave us the wrong detail. After walking for so long, we got nothing!

We were angry but what can we do? So we decided to take a break in a cafe before heading to Roppongi , which is around 7 KM from Shinagawa. Without giving up despite of numb legs, we manage to reach Roppongi Hills. We skipped lunch since we had a heavy breakfast in the morning.

On the way back, we went to a Toyota Showroom to have a look at the first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, which is the Toyota Mirai.

I didn't really took many picture on Day 2 as I was tired. Night time, we went to a Japanese Restaurant for dinner. The thing I like about this restaurant is that they serves unlimited rice and green tea.I was happy because I love eating rice while my parents enjoyed their green tea. We were back in our hotel room at 10 AM. Since my leg was in pain and numb, I decided to dip my leg in the bathtub full of hot water . So that's why I said, Day 2 was the worst day in the whole trip because it was all walking only. But never mind, my mum booked a 1 day tour to Mt.Fuji on Day 3 and i guess it will be fun.
